Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she has covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the growth and advent of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She worked for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Trump and Biden Administrations. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. She traveled extensively with both the Vice President and the President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan, which she took with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in the year 2014. The firm specialized on making documentaries for corporate clients including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a Bachelor of Science in Journalism that she received from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
